It goes beyond the dulcimer and guitar that keep it rooted in clay and mud, but rather it feels like McLaughlin and Weathers are watching the celestial body from afar. Its presence in the night sky, as miniscule as it appears from our humble rock, has its own gravitational pull on its subjects. Favorite track: I.

When a human being comes down from pre-earthly life into earthly existence, it is the Moon impulse that provides the forces for his physical existence. Venus provides the forces for the basic qualities of heart and temperament. But Mercury provides the forces for capacities of intellect and reason, especially of intellect. The Masters of the forces of co-ordinative knowledge and mental activity have their habitation in Mercury."

Background:...

In 2010 I began working with the planetary scales to provide musical accompaniment in Camphill communities. I focused primarily on the work done by Rudolf Steiner the book Harmonies of Heaven and Earth by Joscelyn Godwin.

After debuting these to the public in 2019 I realized these pieces can offer healing to the world outside of Camphill and I began a series of collaborations and restructuring of the pieces. These tones offer relationships to the cosmos and a way to create rhythm in daily life, and are composed with that in mind.

To deepen this experience the planetary seals are presented as album art, these seals (originally designed by Steiner) are skillfully painted by Sweden based art therapist Lina Algehov.
